Legislação:
Em Portugal a aplicação e cumprimento deste Decreto-lei, tem vindo a ser faseada, sendo que a última fase tem aplicação a partir de 1 de Janeiro de 2009, data a partir da qual é obrigatória a Certificação Energética:
- Para obter a autorização de utilização em edifícios novos.
- Para reabilitações importantes de edifícios existentes (custo>25% do custo edifício calculado com base num valor de referência).
- Na locação ou venda de edifícios de habitação e de serviços existentes (validade do certificado: máximo 10 anos).
